Where is Parkside located?

Parkside is located right in the heart of Downtown Austin at 6th & San Jacinto Street. It's conveniently located near Comedy Mothership, Antone's, The Paramount, and all downtown hotels.

What are the hours for Parkside.

Open Daily, Sunday - Thursday  5pm - 9pm

Friday & Saturday  5pm-10pm.

What kind of food does Parkside serve?

Think “farm to table” meets your favorite casual spot. We love the classics – which means we aren’t trying to reinvent them, we’re just doing it right and made in house as much as possible. A prime beef burger cooked to perfection, topped with house made bacon, raclette cheese, on a house made bun. Prime Beef, Flown in fresh oysters & seafood, and the best local produce we can find from our farm and ranch partners. We believe in using freshest and best ingredients in simple ways. The season food and cocktail menus are always changing to highlight the best that is available.

What should I not miss?

While we think it’s all great – we can’t talk about our menu and not mention our raw bar – fresh shucked oysters from the east coast, our classic ceviche, and seasonal crudos. All of it is handled fresh daily, made to order, and perfect to share. Or not – we aren’t judging.

The restaurant is celebrated for its raw bar, featuring freshly shucked oysters (often multiple varieties), crudos, ceviche, and beef tartare. Happy hour often includes half‑price oysters and starters. 

What’s the happy hour at Parkside?

We have long been known for being one of the best happy hours in town – and we love it! Our happy hour includes ½ off all specialty cocktails, beer, and wine by the glass and half off select menu items – which include our oysters and that delicious prime beef burger we were talking about!

Happy hour is Sunday – Friday 5pm – 6pm daily

But we don’t stop there, we do an all-day happy hour on Wednesdays for our Oysters + Bubbles night! Meaning all day Wednesday you can get our fresh, east coast oysters and all sparkling wine (bottle or glass) for ½ off.

Are there any private rooms or large tables for events
and private dining?

Absolutely. Parkside offers two exclusive event spaces:

  • 1st floor private dining for up to 40 guests

  • 2nd-floor event space fitting 120 seated or 200 standing, with covered patio and bar, plus WiFi, AV, linens, and chef-curated menus.

What is the vibe/ambience like?

Parkside provides a modern yet classic atmosphere with exposed brick walls, oak floors, and industrial touches. It offers a refined yet relaxed experience—“an oasis of sanity amid the typical Sixth Street scene.” Parkside has long been known as a cool oasis in the heart of Austin’s historic and bustling 6th Street. We offer casual elevation, with a curated cocktail bar, fresh ingredient driven dishes, in a simple classy style.

What should I order to drink?

Just like we are super proud of our kitchen – we are super proud of our bar – and the two often work in tandem. Parkside offers a craft cocktail list with seasonal ingredients – using high end and interesting spirits. Our team goes out of their way to stay current and engaged with the local cocktail scene. Our wine list is also a labor of love and constantly changing. We have a high focus on natural, organic, and female made wines from all over the world. Meaning – our bar is fun and engaging! We love helping you and your friends find your new favorite spirit, blowing you away with a twist on an espresso martini, or pouring you a glass of your favorite wine from a place you’ve never had it from before! PRO TIP: ask your bartender what jell-o shots they’re serving. We guarantee you’ve never had one like ours before 😉

Where should I park?

Ah! One of the most important questions when planning a trip to any major cities downtown! And trust us, we’ve been here for 18 years so we get it. Because of that, we offer valet (fill in valet info here). Going to a show downtown and need a safe place for your vehicle? We got you.

Located downtown, public parking (metered/garage) is nearby. Valet may be available close by. It's walkable and centrally situated and there is limited street-front parking available as well.
 

Why is Parkside known as “dinner & a show”?

Since Parkside is located right in the middle of Austin’s Historic Sixth street the windows look out to all visitors going to the downtown bars, clubs, music venues, and has a perfect view of the energy and “show” taking place there. It was a little tounge-in-cheek in that Parkside is the Dinner, and 6th Street is the Show. Overtime though, because the location is so close to Venues such as Comedy Mothership, Antones, The Paramount, Esthers Follies, The Red River District, and a ton of other bars and venues, it has become the first stop on a night out with dinner then heading to a show. The new theme fits but we think the original is just as fun too.

How does Parkside deal with food allergies, vegetarians, and dietary restrictions?

 Our chef’s are fully trained in meeting all dietary needs whether it’s adjusting a dish or creating something unique. Throughout the years Parkside has been known as an easy solution for planning meals with allergies, vegetarians, and all other dietary guidelines.
