Where is parkside located?

You can find us in the heart of downtown Austin - on the corner of historic 6th Street and San Jacinto Blvd.

301 E 6th Street, Austin, TX, 78701 - to be exact. Meaning we're right across the street from Comedy Mothership, around the corner from Antone's, and just down the block from the Paramount. We are also smack-dab in the middle of all the top tier downtown Austin hotels and even walkable from some.

What are the hours for parkside?

We open daily at 5pm and close at 9pm Sunday through Thursday, and 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Which means we got you covered for after work winddowns, pregame/preshow windups, and those perfect late-night nightcaps.

Where should I park?

Ah! One of the most important questions when planning a trip to any major city's downtown! And trust us, we've been here for 18 years, so we get it. Because of that, we offer valet. Going to a show downtown and need a safe place for your vehicle? We got you.

What kind of food does parkside serve?

Think "farm to table" meets your favorite local casual spot. We love the classics - which means we aren't trying to reinvent them, we're just doing it right and making as much in house as possible. Just look at our burger - prime beef, cooked to perfection, topped with house made bacon, raclette cheese, stacked on a house made bun, with house made pickles. Perfect. We use prime beef for our steaks and fly in fresh oysters & seafood daily. We also use the best local produce we can find, sourced from our farm and ranch partners. Since the beginning, we've believed in using the freshest and best ingredients in simple ways. Because of this, our food & cocktail menus are seasonal and always changing to highlight the best that is available.

What should I not miss?

While we think it's all great - we can't talk about our menu and not mention our raw bar. Fresh shucked oysters from the East Coast, our classic ceviches, and seasonal crudos. All of it is handled fresh daily, made to order and perfect to share. Or not - we aren't judging.

What is the vibe like?

We have a modern yet classic atmosphere with exposed brick walls, oak floors, and industrial touches. We like to think of ourselves as having a refined, yet relaxed vibe, and have long been known as a cool escape in the heart of Austin's historic 6th Street -- "an oasis of sanity amid the typical 6th Street scene." Think casual elevation, thoughtful and fun cocktails, and dishes with fresh ingredients, all served with simple and classy style.

Does parkside do happy hour?

We have been known for being one of the best happy hours in town - and we love it! Our happy hour is
Sunday - Friday, from 5pm to 6pm, and includes 1/2 off all specialty cocktails, beer, wine by the glass, and select menu items - which include our oysters and that delicious prime beef burger we were talking about!
But we don't stop there! We do an ALL - Day happy hour on Wednesdays for our Oysters + Bubbles Night! Meaning all day Wednesday, you can get our fresh, east coast oysters and all sparkling wine (bottles or glass) for 1/2 off.

Do I need a reservation?

What should I order to drink?

Just like we are super proud of our kitchen - we are super proud of our bar, and the two often work in tandem. Our craft cocktail list is built using seasonal ingredients and high-end and interesting spirits. Our team goes out of their way to stay current and engaged with the forever growing local cocktail scene. Our wine list is also a labor of love and because of that, is constantly changing. We have a high focus on natural, organic, and female made wines from over the world. All meaning - our bar is fun and engaging! We love helping you and your friends find your new favorite spirit, blow you away with a twist on an espresso martini, or pouring you a glass of your favorite wine from a region you've never had it from before. But it's not just about the booze - we put some serious love in our booze free program as well! Pro-Tip: ask your bartender what Jell-o shots they're serving. We guarantee you've never had one like ours before. 😉

How does parkside deal with food allergies, vegetarians, and other dietary restrictions?

All our staff are fully trained in meeting all dietary needs and work actively together to communicate the best ways to help you be fully accommodated. Whether it's adjusting a dish or our Chefs creating something entirely unique - we're here for you. Through the years, this is something parkside is proud to have become known for.

Are there any private rooms or large tables for private dining or events?

Absolutely! Parkside offers two exclusive dining/event spaces. Our private dining space located on our first floor can accomodate up to 40 guests and is the perfect spot for bachelor/bachelorette parties, birthday celebrations, or a classy business dinner.
Need more room? Our second-floor event space can host 120 people (seated) or 200 people (standing), includes our incredible covered patio that overlooks the bustling night life of 6th Street and comes with full event accommodations. Let's plan something fun together!

Why is parkside known as "Dinner & A Show"?

We're located right in the middle of Austin's historic 6th Street, with windows looking out to all visitors going to the downtown bars, clubs, and music venues. It's the perect view of the energy and "show" taking place on the forever bustling street. It was a little tongue and cheek - parkside is the "dinner" and 6th Steet is the "show".
Overtime though, with our location being close to major venues like Comedy Mothership, Antone's, The Paramount, Esther's Follies, and the Red River District, which is home to other major venues and bars, we've become the first stop for dinner on a night out and then our guests continue to their show. The new meaning fits, but we think the original is just as fun too.
